Sunday, April 13th is Palm Sunday, and we will have a single service at 9:30A. We will then enter into Holy Week. We will hold a Maundy Thursday dinner church on Thursday, April 17th at 7P. We will also hold a Good Friday Tenebrae service on Friday, April 18th at 7P. We will have an 8:30A traditional service, and 10:30A contemporary service on Easter Sunday, April 20th. We hope you are able to join us for our many worship opportunities this Lenten season! Or, even better, invite a friend or two to join you!
We will gather each Wednesday throughout Lent for Holden Evening Prayers. We will gather at 6P for a soup supper, then move to the sanctuary at 7P for the service. If you are able to bring soup or bread to share please sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050C4CAAAD2DA0FB6-51138399-bible We will end Evening Prayers on Wednesday, April 9th and enter into Holy Week on Sunday, April 13th with a 9:30A combined Palm Sunday service.
We will have both tulips and hyacinth available for purchase this year. As always, the flowers will decorate the sanctuary during both services on Easter Sunday, and will then be available to be taken home after the second service. Both the tulips and the hyacinth will cost $10 for a six-inch pot, and will need to be ordered by Sunday, April 13th. Checks can be made out to the church with “Easter Flowers” included in the memo line. Order forms can be found in the narthex, as well as attached to the weekly church email.
We will celebrate our annual Easter Eggstravaganza the Sunday AFTER Easter, April 27th. We will gather for a pot luck lunch after the SINGLE 9:30 service, have lots of crafts and games, and host our annual egg hunt! All ages welcome! We look forward to seeing you there!
Our seniors will host a lunch at The Lodge in Hickory on Tuesday, April 8th at 12:00PM. If you need directions, please contact Ellen Priebe at 410-679-8655. Please sign-up at church (the sign-up form is located on the bulletin board just past the nursery room) if you would like to attend so we can make sure there is room for everyone! You can also call the church office at 443-299-6134 and ask to be added to the list.
Sunday School starts September 8. Confirmation for our 7th and 8th graders will be the 2nd and 4th Sundays each month until Pentecost, and will be held during Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.
We have exciting news for you! After a lot of hard work by many people we have a new way to safely give online from your phone! Simply use the QR code on the above flier to access our PayPal account! Once there, you simply enter your donation amount and click submit. It is really that simple...no need to carry cash or write out checks (although, we are still more than happy to accept those, as well )!
