Sometimes, being a young teenager in this world is tough-there is an attraction
to boys and girls, new hormonal emotions, and building on one's sense of
"self"-and all of these are packed within one little being! Confirmation
is an opportunity to meet with peers and discuss how God is working within
their body, mind and spirit. We openly discuss a variety of real-situational
concerns such as body image, their world around them, friendships and
relationships, service, and the Bible. Every topic is designed for teenagers
to prayerfully discover that they are specifically part of God's master plan
and that they are loved in the most intimate way through our Savior Jesus
Christ. Confirmation classes are geared toward 7th and 8th graders and we
offer a variety of activities to put our faith into action, like the 30-Hour
Famine, contemporary worship with peers as part of a larger community, and
volunteering at The Sharing Table, our local soup kitchen.
