Holy Communion Lutheran Church gives kids of all ages and from all walks of life the opportunity to grow in faith and become disciples of Jesus. The Youth and Family Team coordinates safe spaces for children and young people to learn about God, the Bible and themselves through HCLC's regular youth programming and additional coordinated activities.

We work for and with the youth at Holy Communion to provide opportunities for digging into tough questions, deepening relationships with one another and with God, and of course, there are ample opportunities for fun!

The youth programming at Holy Communion is for all ages! We also support our college bound students as they begin to venture into the larger world.

By committing to walk beside our youth and empower them in seeking God's truth, we work to set them up with the tools needed to maintain a solid foundation as their worlds expand beyond the homes and communities they've grown up in.

Our programs include:

Friday Night Faiths: 4th, 5th and 6th Graders (3rd Friday if the month)

Exploration is traveling through an unfamiliar area to learn about it. That journey doesn't have to be linked to a place - it can be a spiritual journey that teaches us more about ourselves, God, our faith, the Bible and how we experience faith and God in our everyday lives. Our exploration often extends this journey into the community around us utilizing Think.Believe.Do (TBD).

Confirmation: 7th and 8th Graders

Confirmation classes offer a variety of activities designed to put our faith into action. Through the 30-hour famine, volunteering at the Sharing Table (our local soup kitchen) and participating in worship, we are able to connect with each other as part of the larger community.

Of course, we also offer First Communion, and Sunday School classes for our youth.
